SEEKING:
Preacher:
Caucasian male, 40's, intelligent but non-confrontational. His alcoholic wife has abandoned the family, but he won't explain things to his daughter. A diplomate and gentleman to his congregation and able to inspire without fire and brimstone. Baritone, with strong contemp feel.
Otis
Caucasian male, 30's +, Johnny Cash type, scary in appearance, has been to jail, town considers him slow and possibly dangerous, but he's shy and not very bright. Loves his music MUST play guitar Tenor/Bari-Tenor voice.
Dunlop Dewberry
Boy to play early teens. Caucasian. Has a sharp sense of humor and Southern charm. Strong singer, post pubescent tenor or bari-tenor with a contemporary feel.
Amanda Wilkerson
13-14 years old girl. Character is any ethnicity but Caucasian. She is a know it all, snobby, sassy and smart, but hides a deep hurt at the death of her brother. Strong singer, contemporary feel.
If given an appointment, be prepared to sing a contemporary pop/rock/folk song, musical theater, top 40 or otherwise.
Sing with straight tone/pop/folk style. No 'legit' vibrato heavy vocal stylings.
