Seeking
Actors for a concert reading of Babes in Arms. Because this is a concert reading, there is a great deal of flexibility with age ranges for each character.
Preparation
Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show.

Valentine White (Male, 20-35) Leader of the acting troupe, a composer, romantic
Terry Thompson (Female, 20-35)- In love with Gus, but attempts to use her feminine wiles to secure her career
Gus Field (Male 20-35) a clumsy but kind apprentice
Seymour Fleming (50-60)- Penny-pinching co-owner of the theatre
Bunny Byron (female, 35-45)- Co-owner, Loved by the actors but easily bossed around by Seymour.
Lee Calhoun (Male, 35-60)- Conceited, arrogant, author
Jennifer Owen (Female, 20-35)- Glamourous actress, leader of rival production1
Phyllis Owen (Female, 50-60)- Jennifer’s ambitious and domineering stage mother.
Steve Edwards (Male, 30-40) a famous and kind young producer
Ensemble- (Male and Female, 20’s-40’s) to play various apprentices
