4:30 PM – Equity female singers New York City

Please prepare 16 bars of a song that shows YOU off (don’t be concerned about range). Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided, but may not transpose.

New musical about Liberace that’s as dramatic as his life was, every bit as funny as he was, and even more spectacular than any of his own shows ever were. It’s the mythic story of a boy in overalls from West Allis, Wisconsin…a Depression-era kid from America’s heartland who had dreams… big dreams… a boy who, despite his superstar struggle against the dark side of his sequined world of glitz and glamour, would become the most popular entertainer of his time…

Seeking Ensemble (M/F): Looking for triple threats of all ages, in excellent shape.

Male characters include

Cary: 18-25. Blue-eyed blond. Replaces Scott as Liberace’s lover.

Mike: Eugene’s lover.

Vince: Late 20s. Liberace’s protégé prior to Scott. Tall, muscular, darkly handsome and sultry.

Colonel: A powerful, dangerous presence, wrapped up in an elegant body.

Young George: Needs to look like he is 18 years old.

Waiter / Maitre D’.

Female characters include

Dolores: Young, beautiful brunette. The perfect Catholic virgin. Engaged to Young Liberace.

Carol: No-nonsense wardrobe supervisor.

Concession Girl: A 1920s “broad”.

Paderewski’s Assistant: Plain woman of Russian descent.

Three Salmon Sisters: 1950s singing trio à la the Andrews Sisters
