Seeking
Local actors for principal roles.
Preparation
A headshot and resume is required at auditions, along with sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Please prepare two contrasting contemporary Broadway musical selections that show off vocal range, musicianship, and versatility.
Other Dates
Rehearsals begin the week ofDecember 7with time off during Christmas Holidays. Production runsJanuary 15 through 17at Dallas City Performance Hall. Rehearsals will take place at Sammons Center and Kalita Humphreys Theater until production week.

Breakdown
The role of Aida has been cast and will be played by Feleceia Benton.
Amneris: A beautiful and materialistic Egyptian Princess who is the betrothed of Captain Radames. Daughter of the Pharaoh. Female, 20-28 yrs old; Range: E3 - F5
Radames: An Egyptian Captain and the son of Zoser. A strong, handsome, adventurous soldier who falls in love with Aida. Male, 20-30 yrs old Range: B3 - G5
Mereb: A young Nubian slave and servant to Radames. Male, 18-23 yrs old; Range: G3 - Bb5
Zoser: The manipulative and evil Chief Minister hungry for power. He attempts to poison the Pharaoh and is father to Radames. Male, 45-55 yrs old. Range: F4 - Ab5
Nehebka: A Nubian slave who is friendly with Aida. Female, 20-35 yrs old. Range: A3 - E5
Amonasro: An honorable and peaceful man who is imprisoned by Egypt. The King of Nubia and father to Aida. Male, 45-55 yrs old. Speaking Role
Pharaoh: Leader of Egypt and father to Amneris. An older, distinguished gentleman. Male, 55-65 yrs old. Non-singing role
