Seeking
Male and female Actors for the upcoming production of ADDING MACHINE: THE MUSICAL and a
TBD Sean Graney Workshop production. Please see breakdown for more information.
Preparation
Please prepare: 1) A one minute monologue and 2) 32 bars in the style of the show (e.g. LaChiusa/Weill/Sondheim) or that best demonstrates your range and musicianship. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring your book in case the artistic team wants to hear more.

Mr. Zero – 30s-50s, Everyman. A seemingly average middle aged guy with a surprising amount of rage under the surface.
Mrs. Zero – 30s-50s, Shrill and abrasive. Mr. Zero’s unhappy and frustrated wife.
Daisy Devore – 20s-50s, Meek and melancholy. Mr. Zero’s coworker with a secret, unrequited crush on him.
Shrdlu – 20s-30s, Pious and sanctimonious. Mr. Zero’s cellmate, driven to violence by forces inside him he doesn’t understand.
Boss/Fixer/Charles – 30s-50s, high status and in control. Comfortably and blithely unsympathetic to the struggles of the common man.
