Principal actor/singers for the roles of Crichton in A Proper Place (Feb. - May 2017) and Effie, Deena, Curtis & Jimmy in Dreamgirls (April - July 2017). See breakdown for more info.

PREPARATION

Please bring a current resume and headshot. Please prepare two BRIEF song selections no longer than one chorus and one verse reflecting the style of either/both shows. For Dreamgirls we recommend an R&B, gospel or disco selection. For A Proper Place we recommend something Golden Age. Total audition time no more than 2 minutes.

CRICHTON
The proper British butler of Loam Manor. Age 35-40. Stoic, loyal and strong. Proud to serve Lord Loam and his family in utmost British form. A born leader himself. A deep spirit and wide thinker. Rich Baritone with a classical sound.

DREAMGIRLS
Seeking the following roles:
Effie White:
25-32 years old, huge gospel belt voice, full-figured, African American, lead singer of "The Dreamettes".
Deena Jones:
25-25 years old, mezzo-soprano with belt, beautiful, African American, back-up member of "The Dreamettes" later becomes the lead, must move well.
Curtis Taylor, Jr.:
Age 30-40, Handsome , sexy and very slick, used car manager turned manager of the Dreams. Baritone, African American, must move well.
James Thunder Early:
Age 30-40, African American, James Brown like R&B star, a true performer and showman, charismatic, sexy, high energy, Rock and R&B tenor, must move well.
