About the Play
The New Year starts off with a brand new musical featuring the songs and words of the legendary activist, songwriter and singer Pete Seeger. From the 1950s to today, Seeger’s unforgettable music has been part of a lifelong quest for reverence understanding, and hope.

San Diego Repertory Theatre is currently seeking to cast the following role:

Young Pete Seeger - Mid 40s, banjo player, song-leader, brave hearted leader of political and social change through music, idealistic, passionate and warm, has the ability to walk into a room and get everyone singing in harmony. Must be an excellent folk singer AND play the banjo.
