CONTRACT

LOA $571 per week

SEEKING

Seeking skilled dancers, singers, and performers of all ethnicities, ages, and physical types for principal and ensemble roles.

These are singing auditions. Please note that ALL those wishing to audition MUST sing for the creative team.

PREPARATION

Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show. Also, please plan to arrive ten to fifteen minutes before your requested time to fill out audition paperwork. We also request two copies of your résumé and most recent headshot, stapled back to back.

The building is the same address/location as Waltham High School. Use the entrance under the Reagle Music Theatre awning.

OTHER DATES

Rehearsals will run May 22nd-June 6th; performances will run June 7th-June 17th.

Rehearsals will be held evenings, 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and weekends, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Performances will be held Thursday afternoons, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons.

OTHER

The Dance Call and Acting Callbacks, which are invitation only, will be held on the same day as Singing Auditions, from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM. If you are invited, we will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Please be warmed up and ready to dance at the start of the call.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition.

Cassie Ferguson (Lead):
Has stopped two of Zach;s shows cold. Finds her heart in dance, not stardom. Mid to late 30’s. Soprano.

Maggie Winslow (Supporting):
Timid, sweet, good-natured. Early to mid-20’s. Soprano. Belt to E

Connie Wong (Supporting):
Petite Chinese-American woman. Sees her youthful appearance and short stature as a gift and a curse. Early-to-late 20’s. Alto. Please note: the actress must be 5’ or under.

Sheila Bryant (Supporting):
Aging chorus girl, a real show biz veteran. Early 30’s. Alto.

Bebe Benzenheimer (Supporting):
Just arrived in New York from Boston. Early to mid-20’s. Alto.

Judy Turner (Supporting):
Big dreams, full of life, no filters. Early to late 20’s. Mezzo-soprano.

Kristine Ulrich-DeLuca (Supporting):
Al’s extremely nervous wife. Despite her best efforts, she has never been able to carry a tune. Mid to late 20’s. Mezzo-soprano.

Diana Morales (Supporting):
Latina-American, good-hearted, determined to succeed. Early to late 20’s. Alto.

Val Clark (Supporting):
Small-town girl who’s learned that great dancing isn’t enough to make it to Broadway. Sings about her new ‘tits and ass’. Mid to late 20’s. Mezzo-soprano.

MALE:
Zach (Lead):
Driven, successful Director and Choreographer, chasing his next big hit. Started out in the chorus, dancing with some of the people who are now auditioning to be his chorus. Late 30’s-early 40’s.

Larry (Supporting):
Zach’s assistant. Excellent dancer, has worked with Zach since the beginning, knows the ropes. Mid-20’s to early 30’s. Tenor.

Mike Costa (Supporting):
Feisty, talented, energized, good guy. Early to mid-20’s. Tenor.

Greg Gardner (Supporting):
Smart, funny, confident, homosexual. Late 20’s-early 30’s. Baritone.

Bobby Mills (Supporting):
Clever, wry humor, stand-up comic. Mid-20’s-early 30’s. Baritone.

Richie Walters (Supporting):
African-American, former basketball scholarship, early education major. A ball of energy. Mid to late 20’s. Tenor.

Al DeLuca (Supporting):
Kristine’s husband. Tough guy, a dancer, from the Bronx, heart of gold. Early to mid-30’s. Baritone.

Mark Anthony (Supporting):
The youngest, at his first audition. Late teens-early 20’s. Tenor.

Paul DeMarco (Supporting):
Latino-American, shy, the best dancer, shares the story of his homosexuality with Zach. Mid to late 20’s. Baritone.

Don Kerr (Featured):
Talented, regular guy with a wife and two kids, wants to stay in the business, Mid to late 20’s. Baritone.

ENSEMBLE (Tricia-vocal feature, Vicki-showgirl, Lois-ballerina, Roy, Butch, Tom, Frank) Cut dancers from “I Hope I Get It”, pit-singers and covers. Varying ages and ranges.
