Natalie Haller: Female, 18-30; young woman and a mechanic; she is more comfortable wearing greasy overalls than a dress. Any Ethnicity

Chad: Male, 18-30; a great looker; a leather jacket wearing, guitar playing roustabout. Any Ethnicity

Jim Haller: Male, 40-60; Natalie's widowed father; middle aged and messy. He still longs for his wife. Any Ethnicity

Sylvia Female, 40-60; No-nonsense African-American owner of Sylvia's Honkey-Tonk.

Lorraine: Female, 18 -25; Sylvia's teenage daughter. Pretty, smart, and a total romantic. African-American

Dennis: Male, 18-30; an awkward young man who aspires to be a dentist. Any Ethnicity

Miss Sandra: Female, 18-30; intellectual caretaker of the town's museum. Any Ethnicity

Mayor Matilda Hyde: Female, 40-50; the town's very conservative mayor. Any Ethnicity

Dean Hyde: Male, 18-30; the teenage son of Matilda who has spent his youth in military school. He's a good young man who has never disobeyed his mother. Any Ethnicity

Sheriff Earl: Male, 40-60; The law in the town and a man of not many words. He loyally follows the Mayor wherever she goes. Any Ethnicity
