Understudy for Leo:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Leo is 21. Lanky. Fit; just finished a cross-country cycling trek. Belated hippie who has fled his suburban upbringing and opted out of college: the 21st-Century rugged individualist. Sometimes stubborn and careless, but ultimately deeply feeling and kind. Recovering from the death of his best friend, he has concluded his bike trek in NY, where he is visiting his grandmother, Vera.

Understudy for Vera:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Vera is 91. Tiny and fragile physically. Her memory is beginning to fade, but she still has a razor-sharp wit. Salty, sometimes ornery old Greenwich Village leftist. Uses kind words sparingly, but has a big heart.

Understudy for Bec:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Bec is a 21-year-old, strong and full-bodied woman. Leo's ex-girlfriend. Enjoys outdoor sports and community service. Self-assured feminist, and caring, emotionally intelligent friend.

Understudy for Amanda:
AVAILABLE POSITION. Amanda is 19 or 20; Chinese American from San Francisco. Design student at Parsons -- stylish, flirty, funny and fun. Actor should have a good sense of comedy.
