Upright Citizens Brigade to Perform at The Englert Theatre 4/16
The Englert Theatre and Riverfest are proud to present improv comedy group Upright Citizens Brigade on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 8:00 pm.
The Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Company features some of the best improv comedians handpicked from New York City and Los Angeles. These performers are the "next wave" of comedy superstars from the theatre that brought you Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Horatio Sanz, Rob Corddry (The Daily Show), Ed Helms (The Office, The Hangover), Rob Riggle (SNL, Daily Show), and many more. The show lasts about 90 minutes, and consists of two hilarious halves of the freshest longform improv the nation has to offer. Current cast credits include Late Night with Conan O'Brien, MadTV, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, MTV's Boiling Points, and VH1's Best Week Ever.
Upright Citizens Brigade's performance is a part of the The University of Iowa's Riverfest. Riverfest is a week-long festival featuring live entertainment on campus and throughout downtown Iowa City. For more information on Riverfest 2011, see riverfest.uiowa.edu.
