Des Moines Playhouse presents CINDERELLA 5/12

Join the Des Moines Community Playhouse on May 12 for "Cinderella." This story is part of the 2016-17 season of Friday Funday, a creative participatory story theatre program for children ages 4-6. Performances are at The Playhouse, Friday, May 12, at 9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, and 1:30 PM.
Shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. The performance at 10:45 AM will have audio description, provided by IRIS. Admission is $6 per person, adults and children. May's featured story is "Cinderella." What do you get when you take a pumpkin, a pair of glass slippers, and a not-so-nice stepmother and stepsisters, then throw in a silly fairy godmother? A magical tale that ends in "happily ever after" of course! Friday Funday performances are held monthly, September-May. The 2017-18 Friday Funday season opens on Sept. 29, 2017, with "The Reluctant Dragon." Students who have participated in Friday Funday might be interested in summer classes, including Clubhouse at The Playhouse, Theatre ABCs, and Playhouse Junior Players.The Playhouse is one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the US. Located at the 42nd Street exit of I-235, the theatre has presented a full season of shows since 1919 and also offers a wide variety of educational experiences including classes for ages 4 to adult, theatre trips to New York, and volunteer opportunities onstage and backstage.9:30 AM, 10:45 AM, 1:30 PM "Cinderella" Tickets
