Based on Welsh poet Dylan Thomas' classic holiday story, A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES travels through time and memory, with the wistful poet himself taking you on a holiday journey, where mirthful aunts and uncles and mischievous playmates inhabit a wondrous, wintery world on Cwmdonkin Drive in the town of Swansea in the 1920s. Thomas was born in Swansea, a seacoast town in southern Wales, on October 27, 1914. After dropping out of school at sixteen, he worked as a junior reporter at the South Wales Evening Post. In addition to poetry, Thomas wrote short stories, radio plays, and film scripts. He is best known for the radio play UNDER MILK WOOD and the poem "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night," composed in 1951, in honor of his dying father.News About A Child's Christmas in Wales at OpenStage Theatre & Co
