The Denver Center for the Performing Arts will host its 32nd annual signature fundraiser, Saturday Night Alive, on March 3, 2012, with entertainment by legendary Three Dog Night. News of the headliner was announced at a kickoff party August 4. Ryta and Steve Sondergard are chairing the event with corporate chairs Peter and Janet Swinburn. Peter Swinburn is the President and CEO of Molson Coors Brewing Company. Event sponsors signed to date include Molson Coors Brewing Company, Century Link, United Airlines and Epicurean Culinary Group.

Three Dog Night's hits wind through the fabric of pop culture today, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out, in TV commercials or in major motion pictures -- songs like "Mama Told Me (Not To Come)", "Joy to the World", "Black and White", "Shambala" and "One" serve to heighten our emotions and crystallize the band's continuing popularity.

Originally formed in 1968, Three Dog Night maintains an aggressive, year-round touring schedule of over 80 dates a year. Their well-loved hits plus some amazing new songs are performed for audiences spanning generations, by founding members Cory Wells and Danny Hutton on lead vocals, as well as original keyboardist Jimmy Greenspoon and guitarist Michael Allsup. Paul Kingery (bass and vocals) and Pat Bautz (drums) complete the lineup.

Saturday Night Alive, which sold out in 2011, benefits the Denver Center's Arts in Education programs. Guests at Saturday Night Alive will enjoy not only smash hits from Three Dog Night, but elements that have made this event an eagerly anticipated highlight of the social scene for three decades:

Surprise Box Sale - a Saturday Night Alive original

Computerized Luxury Silent Auction featuring nearly 100 items including artwork, jewelry and fabulous trips both domestic and worldwide courtesy of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, United Airlines and Lufthansa German Airlines

Dinner, desserts and dancing in the elegant Seawell Grand Ballroom

Saturday Night Alive regularly raises more than $650,000 annually to support The Denver Center's extensive educational programs, which reach more than 50,000 students. Over the past three decades, an estimated $14 million has helped the Center provide theatre programs to more than 1 million children - a testament to the volunteers, donors, sponsors and attendees who have made this event a success.

Saturday Night Alive will be held on Saturday, March 3 in the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex at Speer & Arapahoe. Tickets to Saturday Night Alive are currently on sale; individual tickets start at $375 and corporate/benefactor tables of 10 start at $6,000. Tickets may be purchased at 303.446.4815 or denvercenter.org/sna.
