The Player's Guild at the Festival Playhouse presents "The Mousetrap" by Agatha Christie, directed by Charles Ault. The production will run tonight, May 31 through June 9, playing Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 on Fridays and Saturdays, $14 on Sundays for adults, and are available by calling 303-422-4090. The Festival Playhouse is located at 5665 Olde Wadsworth Blvd in Arvada.

Agatha Christie, the mistress of mystery, brings you her most popular creation, The Mousetrap. When a group of strangers are trapped together at a manor house during a snowstorm, they soon discover one of them is a murderer! Is it the newlyweds whose rampant suspicions nearly wreck their marriage? Maybe it's the spinster with the curious background. It could be the architect, the retired Army Major or maybe the odd man who claims his car overturned in a snow drift! We'll never tell... You would think audiences would know whodunnit by now, but after more than half a century they are still guessing!

The worlds' longest running play is now celebrating its 61st year. The Mousetrap was first presented on the West End in London on November 25, 1952 and is one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. Appropriate for all ages.

Agatha Christie wrote more than 70 detective novels as well as short fiction. Though she also wrote romance novels like Unfinished Portrait (1934) and A Daughter's a Daughter (1952) under the name Mary Westmacott, Christie's success as an author of sleuth stories has earned her titles like the "Queen of Crime" and the "Queen of Mystery." Christie can also be considered a queen of all publishing genres as she is one of the top-selling authors in history, with her combined works selling more than 2 billion copies worldwide.

The Player's Guild at the Festival Playhouse presents "The Mousetrap", May 31 - June 9, Fri and Sat at 7:30 p.m.; Sun at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 Fri and Sat; $14 Sun. The Festival Playhouse, 5665 Olde Wadsworth Blvd. Call 303-422-4090 or visit www.festivalplayhouse.com. Appropriate for all ages.

Charles Ault, Sr. started The Player Guild in 1936. Charley Ault, Jr., who now runs The Players Guild, begins its 77th year of production.
