The Jefferson Symphony Orchestra (JSO) is collaborating with the Evergreen Chorale to present a two-part holiday extravaganza. The first half of the program will include traditional carols as well as Morten Lauridsen's O Magnum Mysterium, Eriks Esenvalds' Only in Sleep, and Ola Gjeilo's Gloria. After a brief intermission, the Chorale and JSO will return with a fully-staged production of Gian Carlo Menotti's beloved Amahl and the Night Visitors, the story of the Magi's visit to the humble home of a young boy who is disabled, and the Christmas miracle that ensues. Featured soloists include Hopi Moore Sargent as the mother, Rush Bogin as Amahl, Timothy Seymour as Kaspar, Troy Horne as Balthazar, and Schyler Vargas as Melchior. Timothy Kennedy is providing stage direction and Melissa Trader choreographed the production, which also features the entire Chorale in costume. Christine Gaudreau, artistic and musical director of the Chorale, will conduct the program, and the JSO was prepared under the direction of Dr. William Morse.

The Chorale will present just two performances of this concert in locations chosen for their incredible acoustics and lovely settings. The first performance will be on Friday, December 9 at 7:30pm at Central Presbyterian Church, 1660 Sherman Street, Denver and the second on Sunday, December 11 at 4:30pm at Rockland Community Church in Golden.

From February 24 - March 12, 2017, the Chorale will present Billy Elliot The Musical at Center Stage, under the direction of Patrick Payne with musical direction by Christine Gaudreau. The choir's spring concert, entitled Sun, Moon, Earth and Sea, will be performed on April 29 & 30 and will feature the works of contemporary composers.
