Springs Ensemble Theatre ("SET") continues its fifth anniversary season with EdwardAlbee's classic dark comedy, THE GOAT or WHO IS SYLVIA?, opening tonight, June 12th and running through June 29th, 2014.

Martin seems to have it all: a successful career, a beautiful wife, a loving son. But that world is turned upside down when he reveals that he is in love with someone else. SomeTHING else. Morality will be challenged, taboos will be broken and lives will be changed forever in this Tony-Award winning masterpiece from one of America's greatest playwrights, Edward Albee.

THE GOAT or WHO IS SYLVIA? opened on Broadway in 2002, featuring Bill Pullman ("Independence Day" and Mercedes Ruhl (Oscar-winner for "The Fisher King"), where it ran for 309 performances. In 2002, it won both the Drama Desk Award and the Tony Award for Best Play, and was later a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

SET's production pairs company features Steve Emily as Martin, returning guest artists Amy Brooks ("The Lion in Winter") as Stevie and Tom Auclair ("The Pillowman") as Ross, and Christian O'Shaugnessy, making his SET debut, as Billy. THE GOAT or WHO IS SYLVIA? is directed and produced by Max Ferguson, and co-produced by June Scott Barfield and Steve Emily, all members of SET. Set Design is by June Scott Barfield, Prop Design and Technical Director is Matt Radcliffe, and Costume Design is by Emory John Collinson, all members of SET as well. Lighting Design is by guest artist Jeremiah Miller and Sound Design is by guest artist Pat Collins. Stage Management is by guest artist Brianna Pilon.

THE GOAT or WHO IS SYLVIA? will be performed at Springs Ensemble Theatre located at 1903 E. Cache La Poudre Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909. Performances dates are: June 12, 13 and 14 at 7:30 p.m., June 19, 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m., June 21 at 4:00p.m., June 26, 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m., June 29 at 4:00 p.m. Tickets are now on sale and reservations are being accepted for all performances. Ticket prices are $15.00 cash or check at the door or you can pay via credit card on SET's website, www.springsensembletheatre.org. $10.00 student RUSH tickets are available for every performance with valid ID and cash or check at the door 5 minutes before the performance.
