Springs Ensemble Theatre Presents Neil Simon's THE ODD COUPLE, Now Through 6/23

By:

SET offers you summer comedy at its best with Neil Simon's masterpiece of male bonding mayhem, The Odd Couple! Set in the early 1960s, the odd couple is formed when two friends whose marriages have broken up decide to room together in Manhattan to save alimony money. Divorced sportswriter and chronic slob Oscar Madison appears to be living the high life until separated neat freak Felix Ungar moves in and confronts him to clean up more than just his apartment. Tossed into the mix are a pair of saucy British birds who just may be the ingredients to Felix's new life!

The Odd Couple premiered on Broadway in 1965 and earned several Tony Awards for a play, including Best Actor (Walter Matthau), Best Author, Best Direction, and a nomination for Best Play. The Odd Couple was adapted into successful film and television versions and is a beloved icon of American stage comedy. SET's production pairs company founders Chad Siebert as Felix Ungar and Steve Emily as Oscar Madison. The Odd Couple is produced by Chad Siebert, Steve Emily and Keri Pollakoff and is directed by Emory John Collinson.

The performance schedule includes: May 30, 31, June 1 at 7:30 p.m., June 6, 7, 8 at 7:30 p.m., June 9 at 4:00 p.m.*, June 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 p.m., June 16 at 4:00 p.m., June 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 p.m., June 23 at 4:00 p.m. *The Sunday June 9 matinee performance is already SOLD OUT.
