Denver Center Attractions presents the developmental production of a new musical, THE KID, starring Joey McIntyre, opening tonight at The Garner Galleria Theatre August 29, and running through September 15 only .Tickets go on sale now at denvercenter.org or by calling 303.893.4100. Check out a first look at the production below!

Joey McIntyre is THE KID, the youngest member of New Kids on the Block, the biggest "boy band" in history. In this inspiring, entertaining and deeply personal coming-of-age story, Joey takes the audience from his hometown of Boston to sold-out stadium tours, when three generations of family drama becomes three decades of stage dreams. With music from his childhood, music he helped make famous and music that inspires him, THE KID is about the power of family--the family we're born to, the families we make-- and how sometimes finding your own voice starts with learning how to listen. THE KID shows us that every stage is different-and you may have to play them all before you find your stage.

This developmental production of a new musical is directed by Eli Gonda (The Catholic Girls Guide to Losing Your Virginity, The Rooster, "Husbands") and written with Christine Boylan ("Once Upon A Time," "Castle," "Leverage") with music direction by Rob Lewis (Christina Aguilera, Babyface, New Kids On The Block).
