Outside TV and the Adventure Film Festival partnered to create a first of its kind - the Adventure Filmmakers Challenge. Enter your best film with the spirit of adventure through Outside TV's community platform Campfire for the chance to win premium prizes, premiere on Outside TV, and an all-expense paid trip to Boulder to present your film at the 2018 Adventure Film Festival in October. Challenge begins: July 17. Submission deadline: September 1.

The Adventure Film Festival was created in 2004 by the legendary climber, photographer and storyteller Jonny Copp (1974-2009). It all started as a dream in the heart of the Himalayas. In a tent during a storm, on a handful of scratch paper, Jonny sketched out his vision of a community-based, mission-oriented, outdoor adventure festival that tied indie film with art and activism. Jonny believed in the power of storytelling, especially through the narrative of adventure, with the goal to awaken change and encourage others to challenge and improve the world we live in. With the help of friends, family and industry professionals, this gritty "down home" event is now an internationally recognized arena for the most inspiring adventure and environmental films of the year.

Adventure Film Festival's compelling line-up is handpicked by a dedicated, Boulder-based selection committee from over 300 entries submitted from all over the world. With the support of filmmakers, sponsors, non-profits, partners, volunteers-all adventurers - Adventure Film Festival hosts a World Tour traveling from Boulder to Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, DC, Chile, Tasmania, India, Nepal, and several major cities in between.

"We believe in the power of the story, especially the narrative of adventure and awakening, to change and challenge the world we live in. We hope you will join us in celebrating the fantastic and, even more importantly, true stories of people and passion."

Tickets available at Boulder Theater Box Office, by phone at (303)-786-7030 or online at http://www.bouldertheater.com.

The Lounge at the Boulder Theater is now open on event nights from 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. The Lounge at the Boulder Theater specializes in locally sourced small plates, fine wines, craft cocktails and microbrews.
