Alice Sycamore has to introduce the family of her fiancé Tony Kirby to her own freethinking family. The Kirby's are wealthy, stuffy family of great self- importance, while the Sycamore's are a collection of good-hearted lunatics. When the two families come together, lifestyle and philosophy collide head-on in this Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning American classic!

The cast includes long-time Spotlight favorites Dan Connell (Grandpa Vanderhof), Katie Mangett (Penny Sycamore), Charles Wingerter (Paul Sycamore), Carolyn Lohr (Alice Sycamore), Kelly Alayne Dwyer (Essie Carmichael), Luke Rahmsdorff-Terry (Ed Carmichael), Eddie Schumacher (Mr. DePinna), Brandon Palmer (Tony Kirby), Molly Turner (Mrs. Miriam Kirby), John Green (Mr. Anthony Kirby), Gracen Porreca (Donald), Meg Ralph (Rheba), Mari Geasair (Kolenkhov), Scott Hogg (Wilbur C. Henderson), Jan Cleveland (Grand Duchess Olga Katrina) and Kerry Beebe (Gay Wellington).

About the closing Artistic Director Bernie Cardell said, "We will have brought twenty years of entertainment to this community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to bring you the best experience we could create. It's been a soul-satisfying experience. I thought "You Can't Take It With You" would be the perfect send-off for the company, and it is a show we have not produced before and incorporates the best of what Spotlight does.

The original production of "You Can't Take It With You" opened at the Booth Theatre on Dec. 14, 1936, and played for 837 performances. The play won the 1937 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In 1930 Moss Hart teamed up with Broadway veteran George S. Kaufman and during the next decade wrote a string of successes, including Merrily We Roll Along (1934) and The Man Who Came to Dinner (1939).
