Josh Hartwell's Adaptation Of A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns To Miners Alley Playhouse Josh Hartwell's adaptation of "A Christmas Carol" returns to Miners Alley Playhouse November 23 through December 23. This hilarious, fast-paced adaptation uses only six actors to bring Dickens' most beloved characters to life. From Scrooge and Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit and Mrs. Fezziwig, A Christmas Carol uses nothing more than simple props, fun physicality, and the power of imagination to convey this timeless story of redemption. Witness Ebenezer Scrooge's transformation from a stingy miser to a man who generously celebrates the spirit of the season all year long, this new adaptation that is destined to become your favorite holiday celebration!

The cast includes Jim Hunt (Scrooge), Lisa DeCaro (Fundraiser, Belle, Christmas Present, Gertrude), Meredith Young (Christmas Past, Emily, Clara, Want, Riggs), Jason Maxwell (Fred, Marley, Fezziwig, Martha, Dilber, Future), Josh Hartwell (Marley, Marley Body, Young Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Topper, Turkey Boy) and Ella Matheo as Tiny Tim and Ignorance.

Josh Hartwell is an award-winning and internationally produced playwright. His play Contrived Ending (Ovation Award and Henry Award nominees), originally directed by Jim Hunt, earned feature film and Off-Broadway contracts with Starry Night Entertainment. The Rank and the Bloodrush was a finalist for The O'Neill Festival's New Play Conference and won second place at the Bottletree One Act Play Competition in Kingston, Ontario. A Different Client was produced in New Zealand, and New York and will next appear in the anthology Hookups Volume 1 in Florida. Hartwell has written plays for Curious Theatre Company's "Denver Stories" since 2005. He has been a mentor and instructor for young playwrights with Curious New Voices since 2008 and with The Denver Center for Performing Arts since 2014. He is Colorado's first Regional Representative for the Dramatists Guild of America.
