Music is a universal language, and rock n roll speaks to all of us, says Mark Heiser, Denver Performing Arts Complex venue director, Denver Arts & Venues. We are excited to bring Beethovens Nightmare, the worlds first and only Deaf rock band, to Denver.

Blending American Sign Language, mime and dance, the Beethovens Nightmare Deaf Rock experience appeals to both Deaf and hearing audiences. January 4 marks the premiere of the bands new show featuring composer Ed Chevy on bass and vocals, Steve Longo on lead guitar, and Bob Hiltermann on drums. Newcomers to the band, Jonathan and Justin Reynolds, bring their innovative interpreting skills for a unique and exciting musical experience.

This is a continuation of our partnership with ImagineASL and the Denver Office of Sign Language Services, and part of Denver Arts & Venues ongoing efforts to advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness programs, Heiser continues. Performances such as the Beethovens Nightmare concert really connect the Deaf and hearing community, and give us the opportunity to reach new audiences.
