David Bryant Johnson to Star in Arvada Center's CAMELOT; Full Cast Announced!

The Arvada Center Artistic Producer and show Director, Rod A. Lansberry has announced the cast for Camelot by Alan Jay Lerner. Camelot opens the 2013-14 Season and will run in the Main Stage Theater September 10-29, 2013. Previews are September 6-8 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

The cast includes: David Bryant Johnson (Arthur), Melissa Mitchell (Guenevere), David Gregory (Lancelot), William Thomas Evans (Merlyn, King Pellinore),Aaron M. Davidson (Mordred), Jennifer DeDominici (Nimue), Jeffrey Roark (Sir Dinadan), Michael Bouchard (Sir Sagramore), Matt LaFontaine (Sir Lionel), Megan Van de Hey (Morgan Le Fey) Brady Dalton and Nate Patrick Siebert (alternating the role Tom of Warwick).

Ensemble members include: Stephen Day, Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck, Karen M. Jeffreys, Heather Lacy, Daniel Langhoff, Ian McCauley, Rebekah Ortiz, Parker Redford, Lauren Shealy, Jacob Lewis Smith, Bethany Swiontek, Rachel Turner and Benjamin Wood.

In addition to director Rod A. Lansberry, the creative team includes David Nehls (musical director), Kitty Skillman Hilsabeck (choreographer), Pat Payne (assistant to the director), Brian Mallgrave (scenic design), Clare Henkel (costume design), Jane Spencer (light design), David Thomas (sound design), Benaiah Anderson (fight director) and Meghan Markiewicz (props mistress).

Camelot is about the legendary love story of King Arthur and his beautiful Lady Guenevere. With the counsel of his trusted sorcerer Merlyn, Arthur calls his knights to the Kingdom. The knights appear from near and far including the invincible Sir Lancelot. With one glimpse at the lovely Guenevere, Lancelot falls hopelessly in love and the story becomes a love triangle of tragic consequence. Enchanting songs in this Tony Award winning musical include "If Ever I Would Leave You," "What do the Simple Folk Do?" and "I Loved You Once in Silence."
