Creede Rep Offers Dinner And A Play 7/23

This Day and Age opens with an elegant dinner preceding the performance on Friday, July 23 at 7:30pm at CRT. This sophisticated comedy centers on the radical assertion of a well-to-do widow: that life goes on! Marjorie, played by the incomparable Christy Brandt, is going to live life on her own terms, despite the expectations of her adult children. This smart comedy about family, independence, and 30 year-old adolescents returning to the nest is - in this day and age - remarkably timely.

Dinner, hosted by the Friends of CRT, begins at 5pm with a menu of: grilled chicken breast with Bordeaux cream sauce, wild rice pilaf, steamed seasonal vegetables, and Godiva chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Tickets for dinner and the performance can be purchased for $50.00. Tickets are also available for the performance only, orchestra seating is $29.00 and balcony seating is $23.00. And coming up at CRT, join us for The KID Show -- Dragons: A Shadow Puppet Play created by a talented group of young performers in collaboration with CRT professionals. Performances are held in CRT's Black Box Theatre on July 28, July 31, and August 4 - all ages welcome!

Creede Repertory Theatre proudly presents the following art exhibitions in July.

Hot Metal: An Exhibition of Women's Sculpture

On Monday, July 12th at 5:30pm - Hot Metal: An Exhibition of Women's Sculpture will open in CRT's Main Lobby. Female artists from the San Luis Valley present sculpture exploring varied themes including: relationships, gift giving, and whimsy. Each work is a personal interpretation of the individual artist, but collectively, they represent a celebration of female art. The show will run through August 16.

Michael Lewis Photo Show

On Monday, July 19th at 7:30pm National Geographic photographer Michael Lewis will present an audio/visual program from his travels in Peru, Bolivia and Argentina earlier this year. The evening will include a silent print auction to benefit CRT. Please join us for this singular opportunity to review this talented artist's photographic exploration into South American culture and landscapes. Tickets are available for $9.00.
