Bug Theatre Hosts 24th Annual Save Save The Bug Theatre Fundraiser
The Bug Theatre announces the 24th Annual Save the Bug Theatre Fundraiser on November 3, 2018. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for a silent auction and bake sale with the show starting at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. The Bug Theatre is located at 3654 Navajo Street in Denver. Tickets and more information available online at www.bugtheatre.org.
It's no secret that our neighborhood has been going through a lot of change, and the future of our block remains a mystery. What we do know is that the Bug Theatre is here to stay. At least, that's our plan. But we need help to do it. The Bug Theatre is the only theater of its kind in Colorado, offering a home to theatre, film, comedy, dance, music and really any other form of artistic expression you can think of. It's one of the last standing old-school theaters of its kind, and we don't want it to turn into condos either.
The 24th Annual Save The Bug Theatre Fundraiser will be a tremendously fun event, all designed to help find funds to carry The Bug Theatre into the foreseeable future. And we're doing it right. In addition to all the amazing acts, as listed below, The Bug has put together an incredible silent auction to help with all your holiday shopping needs. Items include donations from many top merchants such as American Furniture Warehouse, Cards Against Humanity, Total Wine & More, Pints Pub, The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, The Denver Zoo, Arapahoe Basin, Candlelight Dinner Playhouse, Bandimere Speedway and many, many more. As if that wasn't enough, the Bug Theatre Board of Directors is also including a yummy assortment of many different homemade goodies for a true classic bake sale.
The evening's entertainment includes comedy from Andrew Orvedahl (The Grawlix, TruTV's Those Who Can't, The Tonight Show and Last Call with Carson Daly) and Rachel Weeks (First Look, High Plains Comedy Festival.) Other acts include burlesque from Ann Vieux, magic from Max Mago, several selections from The Emerging Filmmakers Project, a musical number from Equinox Theatre Company, live music and so much more.
