UGENS RAPPORT Comes to Det. KGL. Teater This Week
Performances run 28 April - 4 June 2022.

Danish history from a bygone era - the story of the brown-hued 1970s, sexual liberation and some of the most colourful, crazy adventurers of the Danish magazine industry.
Ugens Rapport is a brand new Danish play about the times that shaped us.A riotous, carousing portrait of our recent past with added music from the times.A gender struggle andkamikaze-style emancipation that sheds light on our own times.
In 1972, a few years after image pornography was legalised, a new Danish men's magazine hit the newsstands. A provocative, sexually emancipated magazine with nude women, lurid short stories, reports from the world's hotspots and interviews with international stars. The magazine was found in many a Danish home and with its high circulation, it soon became one of Denmark's most resounding magazine industry successes.
The magazine's charismatic central figure was its founder and editor-in-chief, Kurt Thyboe. The editorial staff consisted of a pack of gonzo journalists, originals, fantasists, libertines and callous hedonists. In line with the concept of new journalism, they all professed to have invested themselves fully in their work. They lived and breathed for Ugens Rapport and despite their penchant for alcohol and savage chaos, they would meet their editorial deadlines week after week.
