POLKA DOTS: THE COOL KIDS MUSICAL kicks off The Grand's 2024-2025 Stages of Discovery season on October 23. Created and performed by Walnut Street Theatre’s Touring Outreach Company, the musical follows Lily Polkadot, the first Polkadot to attend an all-Square school in Rockaway. As she navigates the challenges of acceptance, the story draws inspiration from the events of Little Rock 9, making it a poignant exploration of inclusivity. Best suited for grades K-6, this production also aligns with Delaware State Arts standards and the Department of Education’s Culturally Responsive Initiative.
