Possum Point Players to Celebrate 40th Anniversary with LES MISERABLES, Begin. 9/20

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the Possum Point Players will be the first theatrical group in Delaware and the Delmarva Peninsula to present the complete version of Les Miserables, the winner of eight Tony awards, including "best musical," "best original score" and "best direction of a musical." Performances will be at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Rd, Georgetown, DE, on September 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and October 4, 5 and 6, 2013, at 7:30 PM for Friday and Saturday performances and 2 PM for Sunday matinees. Tickets are $23 for adults and $22 for students and seniors. Tickets are on sale online at http://www.possumpointplayers.org or by calling the PPP ticketline at 302-856-4560.

The 2013 Grand Gala, one of the philanthropic highlights of Wilmington's social calendar, will feature Emmy-nominee Matthew Morrison from Glee as the featured performer. Morrison will perform on Saturday, December 7, accompanied by the Delaware Symphony Orchestra led by DSO Music Director David Amado. The annual event, now in its 37th year, raises money for The Grand's acclaimed educational outreach and other engagement programs.

Ted Neeley, star of both the 1973 classic film and various Broadway touring versions of Jesus Christ Superstar returns to the road, this time without the robe. Fronting his five piece Little Big Band, Ted returns to his Texas roots and his first love as a 'singer in a rock and roll band'. Ted will debut new music with the group, which includes Kim Norton, a stellar guitarist who has provided Ted with an underscore of searing riffs on more than 1000 performances of Superstar, and bassist James Webb, son of famed songwriter Jimmy Webb, and co-founder of the popular Webb Brothers Band.

A world of independent film comes to "Everybody's Hometown" as the 6th Annual Media Film Festival prepares to screen outstanding work by local, national and international filmmakers. The 2 day festival takes place Friday, April 5th and Saturday April 6th at the Media Borough Community Center, 3rd and Monroe Streets. Sponsored by the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, the Media Film Festival is a juried presentation of outstanding narrative, documentary, animated and experimental films. Admission is $10.
