About this studio
Capital City Dance Studio has taught the young people of Frankfort, Kentucky and the surrounding area for 57 years. Established by Gina Tincher in 1969 and now owned and directed by her daughter, Laurie Meyer, it says it has grown into one of the largest studios in Kentucky. Instruction covers ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, pointe, acro and gymnastics for boys and girls from age 2 through 18, with strands running from Tiny Toes and Pre-Dance through pre-school, elementary, middle school and high school levels, including separate middle and high school ballet programs and pre-pointe and pointe work. Classes run Monday to Thursday evenings with some Saturday mornings, spread across an East Studio and West Studios A and B, and end in an annual recital.
