SheDFW Arts presents its second annual Summer Theater Festival at the University of Texas Arlington's Studio Theatre from August 2-10, 2025. The festival features four new works showcasing the talents of Texas playwrights, including First by Joey Banks and Vee Council, which explores the relationship between Emily Bren and Thea Ross amidst a politically charged environment at their conservative university. Other productions include musicals Omen by Jocelyn Moen and Bl!nk by Grace Ward and Elke Myers, along with the play Camp Contrition by Hadley Shipley. The event aims to amplify the voices of underrepresented artists in theater.
