POTTED POTTER Set for Limited Run at Irvine Barclay Theatre, 11/14-16

Irvine Barclay Theatre today announced an engagement of Potted Potter, the unauthorized Harry Experience, a parody by Dan and Jeff, for four performances only, Thursday, November 14-Saturday, November 16, 2013. Written and performed by two-time Olivier Award-nominated actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, Potted Potter is perfect for ages six to Dumbledore (who is very old indeed). This engagement is the show's Southern California premiere. Potted Potter is presented by Irvine Barclay Theatre and is produced by Starvox Entertainment and Marketing.
Segerstrom Center Teaching Artist Victoria Burnett to Perform at National Storytelling Festival, 10/4-6

Victoria Burnett, one of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' teaching artists on its Arts Teach roster, will be a featured performer at the 41st National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN. The event will be held October 4 - 6 at the International Storytelling Center, the prime destination for storytellers around the world who treasure and practice the age-old art of using storytelling to teach, inspire and preserve cultural and historical lore.
Chance Theater to Launch 2014 Season in New Home

Chance Theater, one of the leading ensemble-driven theatre companies in Southern California, publicly announces its plans to move into a new theater that will double the square footage and has the potential to triple the seating capacity. This major news from the Chance comes after months of strategic planning and successful fundraising efforts, with $235,000 of the first phase's $465,000 goal raised thus far. The Chance is slated to move into its new home in time to kick off its 2014 Season in February.

South Coast Repertory's 50th season blends five world premieres with classics and modern masterpieces. The slate includes Arthur Miller's American classic Death of a Salesman, the musical The Light in the Piazza and the world premiere of Rest by Samuel D. Hunter. The season concludes with the play that started it all for SCR in 1964: Moliere's Tartuffe. Season subscriptions are available now; single tickets go on sale in August.

Segerstrom Center's Family Series presents the Orange County premiere of The Intergalactic Nemesis - Book Two: Robot Planet Rising on November 8 - 10 in Samueli Theater. The sequel to last season's hit show (The Intergalactic Nemesis - Book One: Target Earth) follows the adventures of Molly Sloan and Timmy Mendez two weeks after the ending of Book One. When Elbee- Dee-Oh disappears in deep space, it is up to Molly and Timmy to unravel the mystery, but the appearance of Molly's former fiance, Dr. Lawrence Webster, complicates matters entirely.
