(02/15/2015) - The Colony Theatre presents the fourth production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX by Catherine Bush, directed by Brian Shnipper. THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX will preview on Wednesday, February 11; Thursday, February 12; and Friday, February 13 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 15.

(06/27/2014) - Studio Six of the Moscow Art Theater presents Woman at the Funerals, a new play about human malfunction and a budding funeral planner written by Elena Balyberdina. Studio Six co-founder Ben Sargent will direct a cast of eleven including Stewart Alden, Cameron Berner, John Blaylock, David M. Farrington, Doug Hartwyk, Sarah Michelle McAvoy, Pete Macnamara, Samantha Opitz, Benjamin Russell, Najla Said, and RaShelle Stocker. Woman at the Funerals will be staged for 16 performances at IATI Theater, 64 East 4th Street in NYC from June 13-29, 2014.

Yesterday, April 9, some cast members from the touring production of MAMMA MIA! visited Disneyland, and Alex Mendoza was kind enough to share some fun pics from his Instagram account. Ms. Rubin's drama class at Los Amigos High School in Fountain Valley met a number of performers from the Broadway show War Horse who were living their dreams at Segerstrom Center this past two weeks. On Friday, February 1, the class attended a performance and met several cast members afterwards in Founders Hall. They will learn more about the magnificent 'Joey' puppet created by Handspring Puppet Company, see behind-the-scenes footage featuring Adrian Kohler and Basil Jones - puppet designers for WAR HORSE, try their hand at operating a puppet created in the style of 'Young Joey' and learn from an American WWI soldier about what life might have been like during 'The War to End all Wars.' (01/07/2013) - Performances for the upcoming national tour of FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, begin January 1st and run through January 6 at Pittsburgh's Heinz Hall. At a recent press event, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl officially announced January 1st as FLASHDANCE day. Following the Pittsburgh engagement, FLASHDANCE will embark on a national tour to more than 25 cities in the next seven months with additional bookings to be announced soon. (10/06/2012) - The MainStreet Theatre Company has announced the cast for the first show of its 2012/2013 season: Pinkalicious the Musical. The musical, based on the best selling book for the younger set, is also written by book authors Elizabeth Kann & Victoria Kann, with Music by John Gregor. The story, about a little girl who eats too many cupcakes and turns pink, has been delighting youngsters since its publication in 2006, and the musical celebrates everything pink while reminding kids that sometimes too much of a good thing is... too much!. Pinkalicious, recommended for ages 5 and up, opens today, October 6th, and runs through the 21st, 2012. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!
