With a style and voice that recalls paragons such as Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, Grammy
Award-winning vocalist Steve Tyrell has become a leading standard bearer of the Great American Songbook.

His Samueli Theater debut in Segerstrom Center's Cabaret Series January 5 - 8 marks the long awaited return of the Center favorite, last seen here in 2004. The Los Angeles Times noted Tyrell sings songs with "love and respect - to the composers and to his audience."

Tyrell is truly a renaissance man. In his four and a half decades in the music business, he has achieved great success as an artist, producer, songwriter, music supervisor and performer. With his breakthrough performances in Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride II, Tyrell reinvented and re-popularized classic pop standards for a modern-day audience. With the grit and soul of a lifetime of experiences, he has produced hits for Grammy-winning artists ranging from Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville, to Rod Stewart and Diana Ross, Tyrell's own hits include "The Way You Look Tonight," "The Simple Life," "Crush On You" and "The Sunny Side of The Street."

Tickets for Steve Tyrell are $72 and available online at SCFTA.org, at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa or by calling (714) 556-2787. For inquiries about group ticket discounts for 15 ormore, call the Group Services office at (714) 755-0236. The TTY number is (714) 556-2746.
