Goodspeed Musicals has released footage of Justin Matthew Sargent's powerful, showstopping performance of 'Gethsemane' from their current production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, now playing through June 7, 2026 at The Goodspeed.
Directed by Tatiana Pandiani with choreography by Amy Campbell and music direction by Adam Souza, the production tells the story of the final days of Jesus through the eyes of Judas, featuring iconic songs and a bold rock score that has captivated audiences for over 50 years.
Sargent leads the cast as Jesus, with Austin Lesch as Judas, Stephanie Zaharis as Mary, Jamari Darling as Caiaphas, Deven Kolluri as Pilate, Kevin Trinio Perdido as Annas, and Nicolette Antonia Shin as King Herod.
The creative team includes Riccardo Hernández (scenic design), Siena Zoë Allen (costumes), Cha See (lighting), Jay Hilton (sound), and Caitlin Molloy (wig, hair, and makeup design).
