URINETOWN, BLITHE SPIRIT & More Set for Wilton Playshop's 73rd Season

The Wilton Playshop has announced its 73rd Season which will include URINETOWN, BLITHE SPIRIT, and more.

This summer's Wilton Student Summer Playshop will be Romeo and Juliet, the timeless classic that tells the tale of the feuding Montague and Capulet families and their teenaged children, Romeo and Juliet, who have fallen in love. The star-crossed lovers hatch an ill-fated, desperate plan to be together, which will eventually bring their families together, but at much too high a price. Performances will take place on July 23, 24, 29, 30 and 31.

URINETOWN: THE MUSICAL, featuring music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis will be directed by Stacie Moye with musical direction by Anna DeMasi and choreography by Marjorie Janeway.

Auditions will take place on Wednesday, September 1 from 7-10 pm, Tuesday, September 7, from 7-10 pm, and Wednesday, September 8, from 7-10 pm at the Wilton Playshop. Appointments for auditions may also be made. If callbacks are needed they will take place on Thursday, September 9. URINETOWN will perform on October 29, 30, 31 and November 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13.

Next up is Michael Cristofer's THE SHADOW BOX to be directed by Jackob G. Hofman from January 21-29. Auditions dates will be announced.

Noel Coward's BLITHE SPIRIT will be directed by Scott R. Brill and run June 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, and 11. Audition dates will be announced.

Wilton Playshop has also announced "X-Playshop,"a selection of workshop productions, staged readings, concerts and cabaret performances that will be take place throughout the year. Check their website for more details about this new addition to the season.
