Hartt School's Dance Division Opens Its Doors For Open House Week 3/29-4/2

The Hartt School's Dance Division will open its doors for an exciting Hartt Dance Division Open House Week, March 29 through April 2, 2010, at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford. Each day, visitors will be welcomed to the Center for an unprecedented opportunity to observe the classes and rehearsals of aspiring professional dancers in conservatory training. Have you ever wanted to see first-hand how dancers attain their incredible fusion of strength and grace? Are you curious about what goes into creating the stunning moves that make dance the most human of art forms? Would you be interested taking in a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a professional training ground for dancers or getting an insider's look at the "workshop"? If so, plan to drop by The Hartt School Dance Division Open House for one or more sessions, or attend the open rehearsal for Hartt Dances, Hartt's spring main stage dance concert, on April 2 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Handel Performing Arts Center.

Guests will be greeted by faculty, students, and staff at the main entrance and escorted to classes and rehearsals they are most interested in attending. For those who plan to stay for multiple sessions or even all day, the Backstage Café is conveniently located in the Handel Center's South Wing, close to all Dance facilities.
