In the program notes, director Sharon FitzHenry wonders "after years of major tours, two Broadway revivals, a major motion picture, concert versions, PBS specials, more YouTube clips than you can count, at least 6 local productions this fall/spring alone...what makes this show so well loved and enduring? The answer is simple - glorious music. Passionate, soaring, haunting, glorious music. I believe it is some of the best theatrical music ever written." The glorious music in this production is directed by Bill Martin. FitzHenry and Martin were also the directing team for previous Opera House Players' productions of "Next to Normal", "La Cage aux Folles", "Ragtime", and "The Secret Garden." The Opera House Players' 2014-2015 season was recently announced: SPITFIRE GRILL (September, 2014), FIDDLER ON THE ROOF (November, 2014), DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS (February, 2015), and SPAMALOT (May, 2015). Flex season passes and gift certificates are available by calling the box office.Photo Credit: Viviana's Photography
