The McCoy Center Announces 2019-20 Marquee Series

Through the generous support of the Lbrands Foundation, New Albany's Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts today announced the season lineup for its 2019-20 Marquee Series:

INDIGO GIRLS

Friday, September 20, 8 pm

Tickets: $46.50-$66.50

Grammy-winning folk icons Amy Ray and Emily Saliers, the Indigo Girls, perform a selection of songs spanning their career-from the 1980s through their most recent release-including "Closer to Fine," "Power of Two," and "Galileo."

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIVE "CAPTURING THE IMPOSSIBLE" WITH BRYAN SMITH

Friday, September 27, 7 pm

Tickets: $31.50

Join filmmaker Bryan Smith on the edge of what's possible in extreme filmmaking. Descend the deepest canyon in the South Pacific, traverse the length of the Alaska Range by paraglider, and climb the ice of Niagara Falls. His passion for storytelling combined with his reputation for capturing the impossible make for an unforgettable presentation.

Mandy Patinkin IN CONCERT: DIARIES

National Geographic Live "NATURE ROARS BACK" with BOB POOle

A childhood in East Africa gave Emmy Award-winning cinematographer Bob Poole a fierce curiosity about the natural world as well as an adventurous spirit. For a six-part PBS/Nat Geo International series, Bob drew on that experience to document the rebirth of a lost Eden-Mozambique's Gorongosa National Park, a jewel of Africa's parks system until civil war almost destroyed it.a??There, he joined forces with rangers and scientists (including his sister, renowned elephant researcher Joyce Poole) on perhaps the biggest conservation project on the planet and learned that the wild places we've broken can be put back together.

Tickets for all events (except Patinkin) go on sale at 10 am on Friday, August 2, and can be purchased in-person at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), online at www.mccoycenter.org, or by phone at (614) 469-0939.

Both National Geographic Live presentations will feature the Mershad Digital Experience, a state-of-the-art, digital projection and sound system that delivers superior brightness and color rendering, digital surround sound, and a full-immersion experience.

Those who purchase tickets to both National Geographic Live events will receive a 20% discount, receiving one ticket to each event for $50 total.

All events are held in the Schottenstein Theatre of the Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts (100 W. Dublin-Granville Rd., New Albany).

An on-sale date for the Mandy Patinkin performance will be announced at a later time.
