After two capacity performances of Opera Cabaret's La bohème, Opera Columbus and Shadowbox Live have adopted a reservation policy for the remainder of the run. Admission is free, but patrons are encouraged to make advance reservations by calling Shadowbox directly at 614.416.7625. Patrons without reservations will also be seated as capacity allows. Any reservations not claimed by 4:45pm will be released to walk-up patrons. A limited number of premium seats are also available for $10 each with a reservation. La bohème is being performed at Shadowbox Live's Backstage Bistro at 5pm every Sunday through November 18.

"The reservation policy allows us to provide a better patron experience," said Stev Guyer, co-founder of Shadowbox Live and director of the production. "This way, people will know they'll have a seat. And if a particular show is sold-out, we can let them know ahead of time and help them choose a different date, saving them time and frustration."

Opera Cabaret is an innovative, new collaboration between Opera Columbus and Shadowbox Live designed to take opera out of a traditional theatre setting and transform it into an immersive, interactive, and highly accessible experience in a casual environment. The program is designed to provide an introduction to opera for those who have no experience with the art form or who may not be inclined to attend a traditional opera performance in a theatre. Cast with all local performers, Puccini's La bohème is the very first Opera Cabaret presentation.
