On Wednesday, July 27th, Downtown Columbus will unwind from the grind with a little help and a lot of great music from its new neighbors: the dynamic metaperformers of Shadowbox Live, as they host Back to the Brew, a happy-hour festival that celebrates the return of America's largest resident theatre company to their city-center roots. The event will kick off at 5:00 PM on the patio at 500 S. Front St, just across the street from the troupe's new permanent home in the historic Brewery District.
"Back to the Brew is a sort of ‘housewarming' party for us," said Julie Klein, veteran Shadowbox metaperformer and the company's Director of Marketing. "As we move into the final phases of settling in and opening our new space, we want to invite the community to share our excitement. And after all, there's no better way to relax than with great friends, food, and company!"As the work day comes to an end, Shadowbox Live's house band, BillWho? will perform several hours of rock ‘n' roll which will include vocal performances from many of Shadowbox Live's popular metaperformers. Vendors from the Brewery District's most popular eateries and hot spots will also be on hand to serve great food and drinks as the crowd rocks until dusk. Back to the Brew is among many special events that Shadowbox Live has created this year to support their move back to Downtown, Columbus. With increased patron seating, a restaurant component and more space for administration and production, the troupe is equipped to elevate production quality and nightly ticket revenues. The new space's inaugural sketch comedy and rock ‘n' roll show, Legacy, is slated to open August 19th.Videos
