AILEY II Returns to Columbus, 10/30

Ailey II returns to Columbus with an exhilarating and diverse repertoire that includes Alvin Ailey's timeless classics as well as new works by both dance veterans and celebrated emerging choreographers. The evening's program (subject to change) will include Boulevard (Mina Yoo, 2006), Splendid Isolation II (Jessica Lang, 2006), The Hunt (Robert Battle, 2001), and Revelations (Alvin Ailey, 1960).

CAPA presents Ailey II at 7pm on Sunday, October 30, at the Capitol Theatre (77 S. High St.). Tickets are $20, $25, and $35 at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office (39 E. Ailey II has also performed innovative works by emerging choreographers including Sidra Bell, Thang Dao, Carlos Dos Santos, and Christopher L. Huggins. The Company's 2011-12 tour will consist of performances in more than 25 cities across the US and abroad. The Company has received numerous honors, awards, and proclamations in recognition of its residencies at major colleges and universities as well as its visits to elementary, middle, and high schools across the US.
