Meredith Willson’s beloved, American musical will charm the Weathervane stage once again! The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. This Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation.
Fast-talking salesman, Harold Hill, will spell out “trouble” in his best sales pitch as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize – despite the fact that he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. However, he finds himself falling head over heels for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable man by the end!
From barbershop quartets, wonderful dance numbers, and gorgeous melodies, this show has everything you could want in a musical. Don’t miss this delightful classic at the Playhouse this summer!
