The Cleveland Orchestra and Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music today announced further details of the special residency partnership for the 2018-19 season and academic year. This collaborative residency will provide educational opportunities for Baldwin Wallace University music and arts administration students led by Cleveland Orchestra musicians, conductors, and administrative staff. Ticket information for events and concerts, many of which are free and open to students and the public, is included below.
Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra's 2018-19 Season At Severance Hall Announced

The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra (COYO) and its Music Director Vinay Parameswaran today announced details of the 2018-19 season. The Youth Orchestra, under Mr. Parameswaran's direction, will perform a three-concert series at Severance Hall on November 16, 2018; March 3, 2019 (with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus); and May 10, 2019. Subscription packages are on sale now, with individual tickets available starting on September 4, 2018.
Susan Hill's THE WOMAN IN BLACK To Kick Off Season At Cleveland Play House

Cleveland Play House (CPH) kicks off its 2018-2019 Season with the spine tingling tale of Susan Hill's The Woman in Black.  Hill's gothic ghost story, adapted for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, will star Bradley Armacost as Arthur Kipps and Adam Wesley Brown as the Actor in the show that Daily Mail called, "A nerve-shredding experience."  Director Robin Herford will recreate his original staging from the London West End.  The American premiere of the West End Production is produced by PW Productions and Pemberley Productions.  Previews begin on September 15th, with press opening on September 21st at the Allen Theatre in Playhouse Square.

The new season also includes the regional premiere of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the return of the beloved holiday favorite Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, as well as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a new adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank, the heartfelt and funny Almost, Maine, the Tony - and Olivier Award-winning Dreamgirls, and our annual 8x10 TheatreFest. All shows will take place in our Founders Theater.

Beck Center for the Arts opens its eclectic 2018-2019 theater season with An Act of God, written by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart), September 14 through October 7, 2018 in the Mackey Theater. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays, with an additional performance Thursday. Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. Tickets are now on sale.

The Murder Room will begin Clague Playhouse's 91st Season. In this crime thriller spoof, Mavis and her lover plan to rub out her wealthy husband, and they seem to have succeeded all too easily. But have they? A sophisticated and witty gem of a play. The play is written by Jack Sharkey and is directed by Ron Newell and our cast features Nancy Allen as Mrs. Lottie Molloy, Caitlin Halstead as Susan Hollister, Debbie Jenkins as Mavis Templeton Hollister, Simon Sedmak as Barry Draper, Terry Smith as James Crandall and Lou Will as Edgar Hollister and Abel Howard.

Nickelodeon, in partnership with Red Tail Productions, LLC announced today Nickelodeon's Double Dare Live, the multi-city live stage tour inspired by the iconic TV game show Double Dare.  Double Dare Live will play Playhouse Square's KeyBank State Theatre on November 11.  Featuring original host Marc Summers and his beloved sidekick Robin Russo, the live stage show will debut in Fayetteville, NC, on October 30 and will tour North America through November.

Verb Ballets is proud to announce it is moving to a new home at 3558 Lee Road in Shaker Heights. Located near the corner of Lee and Chagrin Boulevard, the more than 6,000-square-foot studio space will serve as the base for the Verb Ballets professional dance company, in addition to providing ample room for classes and workshops for the community. After a yearlong search for the right location, Verb Ballets selected the garages at The Dealership, a co-working community and initiative of the Shaker Heights Development Corporation.
