Steve Winwood Comes to Cleveland, 3/6

By:

Steve Winwood Comes to Cleveland, 3/6 ImageGrammy-winning singer-songwriter-musician and Rock Hall inductee Steve Winwood, has included Playhouse Square's KeyBank State Theatre on his new tour, playing MARCH 6 at 8 pm. Tickets go on public sale tomorrow, Dec. 8, at 11 am.

Winwood, who was a key member of The Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and Go, has also had a successful solo career with hits including "While You See a Chance", "Valerie", "Back in the High Life Again" and two US Billboard Hot 100 number ones: "Higher Love" and "Roll with It". He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic in 2004.[1] whose genres include rock, blue-eyed soul, rhythm and blues, blues rock, pop rock and jazz.

Though primarily a vocalist and keyboardist, Winwood also plays bass guitar, drums, acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, violin, and other strings. He has sold over 50 million records in the course of his five-decade career. During that time, Steve has remained a primary figure in Rock 'n' Roll, a respected innovator who has helped to create some of the genre's most celebrated achievements. His skills as a composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist have established an impressive catalog of popular music.

Steve's first-ever live album as a solo artist, 'Greatest Hits Live', is available now. The 2CD/4LP set features rare, previously unreleased material touching on all aspects of his catalog, including contemporary arrangements of the music he created with the Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith, and his classic solo recordings.

Tickets for Steve Winwood's March 6 concert at 8 pm in the KeyBank State Theatre will be on sale tomorrow (Dec. 8) at 11 am, priced at $95, $85, $65, $55 & $45. Tickets at playhousesquare.org, 216-241-6000 and the Ticket Office.
