Apprentice Corps - New 42nd Street

The Apprentice Corps is one of the four separate creative youth development programs within the New 42nd Street Youth Corps. Apprentices take on a wide variety of responsibilities within the daily operations of The New 42nd Street and its projects. In addition to providing hands-on involvement in the business of running a nonprofit performing arts organization, these paid employment opportunities also include weekly seminars and workshops on such topics as professionalism, interview skills and resume writing.



The program operates for 12-week terms during the fall, spring and summer. Apprentices are paid for 18-20 hours of work per week.

THE APPLICATION PROCESS



All applicants must:

- Be enrolled in school.

- Be able to work 18-20 hrs/wk; schedules are flexible between 10am and 6pm, Monday through Friday.

- Be able to attend Wednesday afternoon seminars.

- Submit a resume and cover letter/personal statement as part of their application.

- For Summer 2018, be able to work June 4 - August 17.
