Are you looking for an acting or musical theatre class for your child? Success in learning frequently depends on finding the right instructor; someone who knows the subject well and understands how to inspire others. Our teaching style focuses on skills training, but also emphasizes self-exploration and discovering a passion for something new. All classes will be held at Pearl Studios in Midtown Manhattan







MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES FOR KIDS



Check out our classes for students in 1st-6th grades



INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE: ACTING OUT!:

This class is specifically designed for students in 1st through 4th grades and will provide young students the opportunity to explore acting exercises, simple movement for musical theater and an introduction to singing. The primary purpose of this class is skill building and technique. This course will also help the younger student become better prepared for future auditions and advanced level classes.



Grades: 1st-4th

Class Day/Time: Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 PM (1 Hour Weekly)

Class Session: 5 weeks, March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30

Tuition: $125



MUSICAL THEATRE 101:

This class is specifically designed for students in 5th through 6th grades. Musical Theatre Techniques will provide students the opportunity to explore acting exercises, dance techniques used in musical theater and an introduction to singing. Students will also learn techniques on how to audition for plays and musicals. The primary purpose of this class is skill building and technique.

Grades: 5th-6th

Class Day/Time: Thursdays, 4:30-5:30 PM (1 Hour Weekly)

Class Session: 5 weeks, March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30

Tuition: $125





MUSICAL THEATRE & ACTING TECHNIQUES FOR TWEENS & TEENS

MUSICAL THEATRE TECHNIQUES:

Acting is an important component of musical theater training. In this Musical Theatre Techniques Class, students will learn a variety of approaches, methods and acting techniques, along with vocal and dance techniques needed in order to become a triple threat.

Grades: 7th-8th

Class Day/Time: Sundays, 5:00-6:30 PM (1.5 hours weekly)

Class Session: 5 weeks, March 5, 12, 19, 26 & April 2nd

Tuition: $187.50



ADVANCED ACTING TECHNIQUES:

This class will provide students with concentrated work in improvisation, character development, stage presence, scene work and monologue study. We will incorporate musical theatre techniques as well as audition techniques.

Grades: 9th-12th

Class Day/Time: Sundays, 6:30-8:00 PM (1.5 Hours Weekly)

Class Session: 5 weeks, March 5, 12, 19, 26 & April 2nd

Tuition: $187.50

Our directors are highly trained professionals of the industry who are National Award Winning Directors and Musicians. Participants will receive the best training this city has to offer. We teach skill building techniques and train our students for a career in musical theatre. Our productions are of the highest quality. We treat our students as professionals in a nurturing environment designed for future growth in musical theatre performance.



Relana Gerami-Luss, Co-Owner/Artistic Director is a nationally recognized award winning director and voice instructor, having students that have been accepted into many of the top vocal and musical theatre programs in the country. Students under Relana’s direction have won numerous individual awards and honors including; The Great American Songbook Competition, Tommy Tune Awards, Classical Singer National Competition Semi-Finalists and numerous musical theatre and vocal performance scholarships. Her students range from musical theatre performers to opera singers.

Benjamin K. Luss, Co-Owner/Managing Director is a nationally recognized award winning director and voice instructor, who holds a Bachelor of Music Education with a Choral/Vocal concentration from the University of North Texas. His students have been accepted into many of the top vocal and musical theatre programs across the country for undergrad and graduate studies. Students of Mr. Luss have won numerous individual and group awards and honors including; Tommy Tune Awards & Nominations, Classical Singer Scholarships and Musical Theatre College Scholarships just to name a few. He is a composer/arranger and teaches music theory for musical theatre performers. Mr. Luss has performed with and directed many organizations including the San Antonio Master Singers, Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble, Austin Civic Chorus, Temple Beth Israel Choir, Austin ISD All City Choir, Austin Civic Orchestra, The Galveston Symphony, and Sine Nomine.
