Four couples arrive at the townhouse of a deputy New York City mayor and his wife to celebrate their
tenth wedding anniversary, but are shocked to learn that the host has shot himself in the head and his
wife is missing. The deputy mayor's lawyer tries to cover up the mishap, but the story becomes harder
to sustain as the other guests arrive and everyone confuses who has been told what about whom, but
loses control of the story as the other guests arrive.
Bewilderment and hilarity abounds as Neil Simon's beloved farce Rumors is brought to life by
