At Silk Road Rising we believe that representation begins at home. If we’re to be the representation we want to see, we need to put the playwright first. Which is why the playwrights we produce hail from the Pan-Asian, North African, and Muslim American communities about which they write. The stories we tell reflect unique Silk Road experiences and enable audiences of all backgrounds to find themselves in journeys that are complex, three-dimensional, and full of surprises.
