Terra Mysterium Presents THE ALEMBIC as Part of Chicago Fringe, 8/31-9/9

By:

Chicago-based performance troupe Terra Mysterium announces its 2012 Chicago Fringe Festival offering, The Alembic, running August 31st through September 9th at the Dream Theatre in Pilsen.

The clockwork of fate is a tricky matter. In this Steampunk musical tale an alchemist undertakes the work of transmutation. A Goddess responds to his call. Within the realm of humanity, she forgets that she is a Goddess and will pay the ultimate price for her innocence.

Music and lyrics by the show's playwright, Amy Christensen, with vocal and instrumental arrangements by Artistic Director Matthew Ellenwood and cellist Marissa Deitz. The production stars company members Keith Green, Song Marshall, Kat O'Connor, Amy Christensen as Vera, and introducing local actor Sean Wilson as Sorenson. It is directed by Matthew Ellenwood.

Tickets for The Alembic are $10, in addition to $5 admission to the Fringe Fest itself.
